CUSTOMER PRIVACY > POLICY STATEMENT
It is the policy of giftservice.co.uk to respect the
privacy of our customer and not to actively disclose
any information provided on our order form to any
individual, group or business unless necessary to
complete the delivery of your order or in the case
of suspected fraud.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > PAYMENT
CARD DETAILS
Customer payment card details are used to charge the
order placed and then kept on file in respect to that
customer or to that order in our office. These details
will not be given out to any other party, except our
payment card processing system, unless we receive
customer permission to do so.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > PRODUCT
DETAILS
Details associated with the gift product and the delivery
will be passed to the respective dispatch department
in our system. We reserve the right not to pass on
these details to other parties including the recipient.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > CUSTOMER & PAYMENT DETAILS
It is our policy not to pass these details on to any
other party without the specific permission of our
customer. This permission will be sought in respect
of any request, even from the recipient, for certain
customer details.
Where we have received such
a request we will attempt to contact our customer
to request permission to answer any questions asked.
Should we not receive any reply to our attempts to
contact our customer, within a reasonable time scale,
it will be left to our duty managers discretion as
to what information is given to who.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > SUSPECTED
FRAUD
Where we are approached by any party including the
Police concerning the suspected fradulent use of payment
cards, it will remain at our duty managers discretion
as to what information is passed on and to whom. We
will still be very cautious to part with information
and reserve the right whether or not to request customer
permission to pass on that information.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > GIFT
CARD SIGNATURE
As already mentioned in previous notes, one of our
largest time consuming activities is answering queries
when a customer chooses not to sign their gift card.
The statement "Oh they'll know" comes to
mind alomg with "I don't need to sign my card
it will be obvious!"
Recipients invariably DO
NOT know for absolute sure who has sent the gift.
The doubt niggles away and then they have to contact
our office to find out who the sender was.
Because of our privacy policy
this becomes a very time consuming process. We will
have to contact you, our customer to explain the position,
going through the cost and waiting period according
to the time involved. When we receive permission to
say something we then have to go back to the recipient,
tracking them down once again to report back.
All of this just because they
would know. Isn't it worth just putting on a signature
having spent the money on the gift. We realise that
some customers just do it for the devilment involved
but some recipients do get really worried, especially
young ladies and especially where there has been past
bad history.
Please consider before you deliberately
leave off the card signature. see link below.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > SALE
OF INFORMATION
We must state that it is not the policy of giftservice.co.uk
to offer for sale or allow any order information supplied
by our customers in good faith to process their orders
to be sold to any other business, especially for the
purposes of any form of direct marketing.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY > CONTACTING
CUSTOMERS
Although we do not sell or pass our information to
any other business we do reserve the right to use
the contact information received from any order for
our own internal marketing purposes. This information
may be used to send marketing information relative
to the marketing activities of giftservice.co.uk
We would ask any customer who
really has strong views against receiving useful giftservice
product information in the future to contact us through
our main contact link below to request that their
name be removed from our mailing list. (see link below)
