RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE
NUMBER > WHERE TO ENTER THE RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE
NUMBER
Moving down the order form within the "Delivery
Details" section, the recipients telephone number
should be entered in the Recipient Contact Number
box which is below the Country box.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> IMPORTANCE OF RECIPIENTS PHONE NUMBER
Many of our customers are reluctant to provide the
recipients telephone number because they feel that
if we call the recipient it will spoil the suprise
of delivery. We must state here that in the UK we
do not automatically call the recipient before delivery.
It is also important to state that, as much as possible,
all telephone numbers are kept as confidential as
possible. Please use link below to see notes.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> INTERNATIONAL RECIPIENTS PHONE NUMBER
The situation is different on a global level where
we are obliged to provide the phone number for all
orders. In some countries deliveries will not be accepted
without a recipients phone number and it will automatically
be used to make contact before a delivery can be made.
If the only address available for the recipient is
a PO box, as many are in certain countries, or a RR
number in other countries, we will not accept the
delivery without a reliable recipient phone number
of some sort.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> WHY WE NEED A PHONE NUMBER
When we are making a delivery all sorts of situations
can occur which are overcome by the eventual use of
the phone number. Many delivery drivers are now equipped
with a mobile phone and can call the recipient if
they are in the locality rather than returning the
gift to the florist shop/courier depot undelivered.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER > CUSTOMERS PHONE
NUMBERS
We do not give our florist drivers our customers phone
numbers. We would ask for customers numbers not to
be entered as recipients numbers. To give an example:
A driver may be standing outside the correct house
for delivery and cannot make the recipient hear them
outside. By telephoning the house they can request
the door to be opened. This is especially true with
the increase in door entry systems but also for larger
rural houses.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> PHONE NUMBERS FOR ROYAL MAIL DELIVERIES
Many of our gifts are delivered by the Royal Mail
Special delivery service and many of our customers
think that we should not require the recipients phone
number for these orders. We do have a follow up policy
for all these orders, where the recipients phone number
is important, when we discover that the recipient
was unable to receive their gift because they were
not at home. Please use link below to see notes.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> PHONE NUMBERS FORMAT
Telephone numbers are best provided with normal dialling
codes. We can accept numbers as they would be dialled
internationally into the UK. A land based telephone
number is preferred for the actual delivery location.
We would be pleased to receive any other additional
numbers supplied in the extra information box.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> MOBILE NUMBERS
Where mobile numbers are offered we request that the
mobile is based in the same country as the delivery.
For example: If you are sending flowers to someone
on holiday in Spain our Spanish florist would probably
not be prepared to stand the cost of a call to a mobile
based in the UK to divert back to Spain. If this was
the only contact we should be made aware of the linking
process.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> INCORRECT PHONE NUMBERS
Where there is insufficient time to check or where
we have tried to contact you receiving no reply, we
will proceed with your order using the information
you have supplied.
We must point out however that
if we accept your order and it is processed without
a recipients telephone number we will not accept responsibility
for any subsequent problems which might occur. This
is especially true for international orders.
If any problems occur which
would have been overcome using a recipients telephone
number, you will accept responsibility for the payment
of any additional costs which might be incurred to
ensure the final delivery of your gift. Once delivery
has gone ahead we will not just cancel your order.
Sometimes more than one delivery has to be made to
an address where we would have called to organise
the second delivery. Additional order fees may be
payable, especially for international orders, if you
subsequently request confirmation of delivery.
Please help us to provide you
with the best possible service by providing a good
reliable telephone number for the recipient.
RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
> NO RECIPIENTS TELEPHONE NUMBER
If you are unable to provide a telephone number for
the recipient, please enter a further note concerning
this in the extra information box.
As stated above we may not be
able to send your order Internationally for some types
of address.
If you send your order without
a recipients contact number please be prepared to
receive a phone call or e-mail message from us to
clarify the position, especially for overseas orders.
Please make sure you have supplied fullest contact
details for yourself, especially for daytime contact.
