SURNAME DETAILS
The recipients surname is a one of the most important
parts of an order.
Please enter the full surname,
using upper and lower case, correctly spelt with suitable
spaces, hyphens where necessary.
RECIPIENTS SURNAME > HOSPITAL PATIENT SURNAME
If you are providing details for someone in hospital
or a hotel, will you try to ensure the surname refers
to that person. In the case of a woman, the details
should relate to the name you know or think they are
booked in as.
RECIPIENTS SURNAME > INCORRECT SURNAME
Although we try to check all address details, it is
normal policy to treat the recipients name as supplied
on the order form as being correct. We will contact
our customer, if time allows, where details appear
completely incorrect.
We must state that all orders
are dispatched in good faith using the recipients
name as supplied by our customer. We will not be responsible
for any problems which occur as a result of any incorrect
recipients details supplied. We reserve the right
to charge further administration, product, packaging
or delivery costs, to rectify a problem resulting
from an incorrect recipients name supplied.
In some cases the Royal Mail
or couriers may not accept responsibility for delivery
if the surname is missing.
RECIPIENTS SURNAME > EXTRA
SURNAME DETAILS
Where the delivery is being addressed to a recipient
who is staying at a house, possibly with another family,
where they do not usually live, please supply the
name of a member of the family who normally lives
at that address.
Example: Granny who has a different
surname from the family at the delivery address has
gone to stay with her daughter for the period of her
80th birthday. In this case please address your gift
to:
Mrs A.C. Jones, c/o Mr &
Mrs G.B. Smith (at the correct delivery address)
RECIPIENTS SURNAME > DECEASED
SURNAME FOR A FUNERAL
Flowers for a funeral are normally addressed to the
deceased by way of: Late Mr F.R. Bloggs.
If the flowers are being delivered
to the deceased persons normal domestic home the name
followed by the normal address is sufficient.
If the flowers are going to
the home of another family member, relation or other
domestic residence, you should qualify the deceased
name with the name of the person or people receiving
the flowers.
Example: Late Mr F.R.Bloggs
c/o Mr & Mrs H. D. West (at the correct delivery
address)
If the flowers are being delivered
to the local funeral directors they should be addressed
as follows:
Example: Late Mr F.R.Bloggs
c/o Saunders & Son Funeral Services (at the correct
delivery address)
RECIPIENTS SURNAME > INCOMPLETE SURNAME
If you really do not know the surname or you are unsure
of the spelling, please enter the best details you
can and put a note in the "extra information"
box to ask us to run a check on the name. We will
do our best to find the correct surname from the information
