You will find the largest box on the order form towards
the end of the Delivery details section on the form.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > SIZE
OF CARD MESSAGE
We offer the facility for you to write a card
message containing 25 words. This number of words
will normally allow for any reasonable message which
can contain details about the occasion and the sender
with room for a few other details. We do not expect
longer messages, poems or books.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > EXCESSIVE CARD MESSAGES
If an excessively long message is received we will
accept the first 25 words only. If you have a really
special reason for wishing to send a long card message
please send an e-mail to us beforehand to request
this service. We will come back to confirm how we
can meet your request. Additional costs may apply
to allow for a larger card and additional administration
(in the region of 10p per word) This is not an offer
to allow larger card messages.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > PRESENTATION
OF CARD MESSAGES
We offer the facility to provide a gift card message
on all orders. In most cases your personal message
will be hand written on to a suitable gift card which
is attached to and delivered with your gift. Some
cards may be typed rather than hand written.
Whilst every effort is made
to expect good quality handwriting we do not guarantee
any style or quality of writing. Where a message is
type written it may be a copy of how you have entered
the message or it may have been copied and typed.
We do not guarantee the choice of style, design or
layout of the words within the message.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > CARD
SIGNATURE
The card message is the part of the order which conveys
many things to the recipient. Please, for your benefit,
make the most of the card message. The recipient will
not be told anything about the sender except the card
message. For international orders the recipient may
not even know the country of origin of the order.
We feel it is important to us for the sender to sign
the gift card in some way.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > UNSIGNED
CARDS LEADING TO COMPLAINTS
We do receive a lot of unsigned card messages. This
can vary from a completely blank card to a card message
with no signature.
Often the sender thinks the
recipient will know where the gift has come from.
We can assure you that they very often do not. The
biggest problem is very often between husband and
wife or wife and husband !!
Additional charges may apply
on any orders where an unsigned card produces a complaint
of non delivery which then produces a considerable
amount of additional phone calls and sorting out for
our office.
Please note that an unsigned
card can be a contributing factor which may make us
think that the order is fraudulent.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > CHECKING
YOUR CARD MESSAGE
Once you have written the card message please take
a few seconds to check the spelling and wording of
your message. We now have a policy of sending your
card message as received. Even if we think you have
made an obvious mistake, your card will go as sent,
unless we receive a written instruction from you,
immediately after your original order, to change the
message. Do not resend your order to change the card
message. See link below.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > TRANSLATION
OF CARD MESSAGES
Card messages are sent as received. We must point
out that we do not translate your message through
any languages. If you send in English the card stays
in English. Your message should be sent in the language
and translation you wish the recipient to read it.
Please note that we may not be able to cope with all
forms of international text, especially certain symbols.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > COPYING
YOUR CARD MESSAGE
Every effort is made to copy the text for your
card message exactly from your order form to the final
card delivered with your gift. Whilst we appreciate
how important it is to you and the recipient that
every word is spelt and written as you stated on your
order form, errors can occur and occasionally a word
may be mispelt or ommited by human error. For this
we apologise in advance. We wish to assure you that
any errors are extremely rare but can occur with a
personal service as we operate, especially at peak
times. See note below
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > GIFTCARD
DESIGN
When writing your card you should presume that
there is nothing written on the actual gift card before
you start. There might be a small picture suited to
the product or occasion you are addressing. We do
not have control of this picture design or the colour/layout
of the card. The choice of card is left to others
in our dispatch process. For some occasions some cards
have one or two words pre printed. These cards would
only be used if they match your chosen words. Examples
here would be: "Happy Birthday" "Happy
Anniversary" With Deepest Sympathy" . These
example titles are not guaranteed.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > SPECIALLY
PURCHASED CARDS
From time to time we may offer an alternative design
gift card supplied as part of a promotion or package
deal. On some occasions this may be supplied free
of charge. Unless otherwise stated the choice of size
and design of this card will be left to our discretion.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > GIFT
CARD ENVELOPE
Whilst we offer to provide a giftcard with every order
we do not guarantee for that card to be provided in
an envelope. For several of our gifts the card will
not be in an envelope as it will be included in the
total gift package, very often attached to the actual
gift. If a gift card envelope is requested there may
be an extra charge on the order to organise this service.
GIFT CARD MESSAGE > CUSTOMER
AS THE RECIPIENT
Where a gift is to be delivered to yourself as the
customer and the recipient at the delivery address,
please enter a note to this effect in the extra information
box. A blank card can still be supplied for you to
write if you intend to hand deliver your gift.

CARD MESSAGE ENTERED
Where no card message is entered, a blank card may
or may not be supplied, at our discretion.
