DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > PRODUCTS TO SEND ON BOARD SHIP
Deliveries on board ship very often require more precision and expertise than some of our other deliveries. We should restrict ordering to the UK florist flowers, UK florist your choice and the international sections of our website unless you have precise shipping agents office information. Where deliveries are made to a shipping office this would become the point of delivery. Where products are delivered by our florists more control can be exercised on the date and time of delivery.
DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > WHERE CAN DELIVERIES BE MADE TO A SHIP?
In theory we can organise a delivery to most ports within the UK and the countries in the world where we have our normal florist delivery service. We will of course confirm, back to you, that we have accepted your order, along with any queries we may raise.
DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS SENDING TO A SHIP?
Mostly no, especially for UK deliveries but yes, there may be some additional costs for port deliveries in some places. These will apply more on an international basis than in the UK. Deliveries which are out of normal working hours may carry additional charges. Deliveries on a public holiday internationally can sometimes be a problem.

DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > CUSTOMER CONTACT
Organising a delivery on board ship is one of the more difficult services we may offer. It very often involves addressing difficulties, time & date difficulties and various changes. We may need to keep in closer contact with our customer around the delivery date if we are informed of any problems.
It is essential that we have good reliable customer contact information and can receive replies to any communications sent. We will not be responsible for problems occuring as a result of a lack of response to any messages sent to our customer.
DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > DELIVERY NAME & ADDRESS
Flowers are usually delivered to a ship when it is in port. This may be at the beginning or during a cruise. We require as full as possible address details to complete the delivery.

Deliveries may be made to the actual ship or we would normally deliver to the cruise line office which would be near to where the ship would be berthed in the docks.
Your gift should be addressed to the recipient just in their own name or in their name c/o the name of the person whose name the booking is in, plus the name of the group booking if applicable.
Following the names in the address, we require the Cabin Number, followed by any location information such as the deck number or location on the ship.
We would then require the name of the cruise ship and possibly the name of the shipping line, followed by the best land based address for the shipping company/dock address with a postal code.
Lastly and very important we require a telephone contact number for the "ship in port" / the shipping line office in the port or some form of contact number if available. As a last resort this could be a mobile number for the recipient or someone in their party.

DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > DELIVERY TIME ON BOARD SHIP
Deliveries to people on board ship will need to be made during the period that the cruise ship is in the port.
Most cruise lines will have this information available in advance of the event but it is always subject to sudden change in relation to other influences such as the weather.
It will help us if you can include a note in the extra information box on the order form to indicate the times that the ship should be in port.
Our florists will usually try to monitor changes as soon as they have an order to deliver. This is one occasion where our florists try to make deliveries at all times to follow the movement of the cruise ships. All orders are accepted on the understanding of allowing our florist this flexibility on delivery.

DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > POINT OF DELIVERY ON BOARD SHIP
Our deliveries are normally made by our florist delivery driver to the shipping line office, to the Pursers office on the cruise ship or to any point dictated by the management of the cruise ship. It will not be personally delivered to the requested recipient. We refer to this point of delivery, as the "central delivery point"
It is impossible for us to be responsible for the actions of other people working on board ship / where the delivery is being made. We make it part of our terms & conditions for the service we provide that we consider our part in the delivery process has been completed once your gift has been delivered to and received by a member of the staff at the central delivery point.
We regret that we are normally unable to influence or control the movement or rate of movement of our gifts within the ship, especially to determine or guarantee how quickly they will be received by the recipient.
We consider the limit of our guarantee and involvement finishes on proof of delivery to the central delivery point not the recipient. This proof may be verbal or written as available. It is sometimes very difficult to obtain written proof of delivery. We regret that we will not entertain any complaints concerning the product and its delivery after the delivery has been made to the central delivery point.

DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > CONDITION OF GIFT DELIVERED ON BOARD SHIP
Your gift will be produced, packaged and delivered to the central delivery point at the delivery address.
We would expect that as gifts are received they are reasonably checked by the person delivering and receiving them for any obvious physical damage. As the delivery is being made by our directly employed florist deliverey driver the gift should arrive in perfect undamaged condition.
Whilst we will always entertain any complaint for damaged goods which have been received and signed for as damaged from our florist, we consider it fair comment that we cannot be held responsible for any damage which occurs between the gift being received at the central delivery point and finally arriving with the recipient.
We are not prepared to accept responsibility for damage, deterioration or poor condition of any gift but especially more perishable gifts such as fresh flowers where they have been mishandled, incorrectly delivered within the ship, forgotten, mislaid or generally abused rendering them as not best quality when they finally reach the recipient.

DELIVERIES ON BOARD SHIP > FLORAL PRODUCTS FOR ON BOARD SHIP
We would recommend choosing your floral gift carefully to reflect the practical problems of delivering to and looking after flowers in a cabin on board ship.
We would recommend sending a floral gift which can be produced, delivered and accepted with a minimum of fuss and unlikely to cause problems.
Here we would recommend a ready made arrangement ranging from a smaller posy style to a more extravagent front facing arrangement.
If you would really like to send a bouquet please consider one of our hand-tied bouquets which are elegantly styled to pop straight into a vase. In the UK these bouquets are normally delivered in a bag of water, this however may be revised for deliveries on board ship at our florist discretion.
We can often, mostly for UK deliveries, organise the delivery of additional gifts like a small box of chocolate or a balloon with a floral gift, especially with advance notice.
