DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > BUSINESS ADDRESS DEFINITION
We would define a business address as a place of work
rather than a domestic or private address. Where a
recipient works from home the two may be the same.
With a business address the recipient will leave the
premises, when finishing work, at some time during
the day, any deliveries will need to be made before
this point in time.
In the UK we have many different
sizes of business. Each size of business will have
different delivery conditions and problems.

ADDRESS > CORRECT DELIVERY INFORMATION
A successful and efficient delivery depends upon having
correct and full delivery information. We request
fullest information on our order form, this is checked
against our address checking system before orders
are dispatched.
This information follows through
to the delivery driver at the point of delivery. If
incorrect details have been supplied which cannot
be checked or verified then the delivery can become
more difficult or in extreme cases incorrect.

ADDRESS > RECIPIENT DETAILS
Please make sure that the recipients details supplied
on the order form are full and correct details. This
is especially important where a delivery is being
made to a larger company.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > RECIPIENT STATUS
Please indicate in the delivery address details the
position of the recipient in the Company.
does the recipient work in a
particular department?
does the recipient have a job title?
is the recipient a permanent member of staff?
is the recipient new to the company?
is the recipient working at a specific location?
is the recipient employed by another company just
working at the delivery address?

ADDRESS > THIRD PARTY DELIVERY
We need to state that when one of our gifts is ordered
for delivery to a business address it may not be personally
delivered to the requested recipient by our delivery
agents. We are restricted by the fact that many deliveries
which are made to business addresses are made to a
central delivery point such as the reception or the
post room. We refer to this as the "central delivery
point"
This may be specific to the
company where the recipient is working and to where
the delivery has been addressed or it may be a collective
point relative to the delivery address building. In
extreme, for postal deliveries and some personal deliveries,
it can be an alternative physical location for a specific
company where all mail or deliveries are re directed.
This policy would be followed by us but stated by
the company.
It is impossible for us to be
responsible for the actions of other people working
within the business where the delivery is being made.
We make it part of our terms & conditions for
the service we provide that we consider our part in
the delivery process has been completed once your
gift has been delivered to and received by a member
of the staff at the central delivery point.
We regret that we are normally
unable to influence or control the movement or rate
of movement of our gifts within the company, especially
to determine or guarantee how quickly they will be
received by the recipient. This is especially important
where any timed delivery, such as our London Express
Delivery Service, has been purchased.
Although we will try to help
locate a gift which not have been received by the
recipient within a company, we consider the limit
of our guarantee and involvement finishes on proof
of delivery to the central delivery point not the
recipient. We regret that we will not entertain any
complaints concerning the product and its delivery
after the delivery has been made to the central delivery
point.

ADDRESS > CONDITION OF GIFT DELIVERED
Your gift will be produced, packaged and delivered
by the method of distribution chosen for each gift.
We will ensure that your gift is delivered to the
central delivery point at the delivery address.
We would expect that as gifts
are received they are reasonably checked by the person
receiving them for any obvious physical damage. Any
damage would be reported on the delivery document
when the gift was signed for at the central delivery
point. The recipient would be informed and hopefully
we would be informed allowing us to assess the situation,
make a claim against our delivery people and try to
rectify the posion for the recipient.
Whilst we will always entertain
any complaint for damaged goods which have been received
and signed for as damaged from the Royal Mail, courier
or our florist, we consider it fair comment that we
cannot be held responsible for any damage which occurs
between the gift being received at the central delivery
point and finally arriving with the recipient.
We are not prepared to accept
responsibility for damage, deterioration or poor condition
of any gift but especially more perishable gifts such
as fresh flowers and fruit where they have been mishandled,
incorrectly delivered within the company, forgotten,
mislaid or generally abused rendering them as not
best quality when they finally reach the recipient.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > BUSINESS NAME
The business name is a very important feature of a
delivery to any business address. Quite often there
will be one physical building which will have a central
reception. That building could house 20 different
businesses with no obvious connection.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > NEW BUSINESS NAME
It would be very useful to know if a business has
recently changed its name. Sometimes sign boards take
time to change. Locally many people still refer to
a business by its previous name for some time. The
same applies to the name of a building when that is
changed.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > SPECIFIC LOCATION
Some larger business or factories will have more than
one building on the same site. Some businesses will
have several locations within the same town.
Please try to be specific in
the address given. We regret that we cannot accept
responsibility where our customer has ordered and
sent their gift to the wrong location on the site
or in the town.
Unless we are made aware of
the mistake, soon enough to adjust the instructions,
the delivery will be made to the address given. Extra
charges could apply if a further delivery or re delivery
is requested and if it is possible. We will not be
responsible for delays in delivery under these circumstances.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > UNIT NUMBERS
Many businesses are located on an industrial estate.
Each unit on an industrial estate will normally have
a unit number. Our driver can very often find a plan
of the industrial estate at the entrance showing the
location of each business by unit number.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > POSTAL CODE
As with private addresses we would still value having
the postal code for a business address. The postal
code can help to locate the property.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > TELEPHONE NUMBERS
It is very important to have a contact number for
a business address. This number can be a main reception
phone number which is probably preferred or a direct
line to the recipient or their department.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > RECIPIENT NOT AT WORK
Your gift will more than likely still be delivered
if the recipient is not at work on the requested delivery
day. We will be unable to influence a delivery being
made by the Royal Mail or a Courier delivery at short
notice.
For our UK florist flowers deliveries,
if we are informed early UK time on the day of delivery,
that the recipient will not be at the intended delivery
location, we may be able to redirect the delivery
to an alternative location. We do not guarantee to
be able to change the delivery address, it will depend
upon the order cicumstances, extra costs could apply.
Any additional costs would be explained, the decision
would rest with our duty manager on the day.
DELIVERIES TO A BUSINESS
ADDRESS > BUSINESS CLOSED
If you organise a delivery to be made to a business
address and our driver arrives at the address to find
that the business is closed because it is a business
which operates in unsociable hours. We may be unable
to make the delivery at that time to the actual premises.
For Royal Mail deliveries a
postcard will probably be left requesting that the
recipient contacts the local sorting office to collect
their gift.
Any deliveries by Courier and
through our UK florist flowers delivery service could
be left with a near neighbour or near business until
the intended business opens. A card should be left
through the door of the intended business address
requesting that the recipient collects their gift
from the address it has been left with. This will
be at the discretion of the driver.

ADDRESS > INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ADDRESS
Please note that all the above information refers
to our UK delivery products and services. Similar
information for international orders would need to
be extensive but specific for each of the many countries
we cover. Please use the details on this page as a
loose guide to general thinking for international
orders.
